Terms and Conditions

1. For the purpose of this document Turning Pointe will be referred to as TP.

2. Fees are to be paid in full, in advance, at the start of each term; once paid they are non-refundable, with the below exceptions:-

a) Refunds/class credit will not be given for non-attendance however students are entitled to attend a make up class at the same venue or another venue, in lieu of those classes missed.

b) Students attending the Babies Ballet Class will have 3 weeks in which to settle into the class. After 3 weeks if they are still having a problem settling in, then a pro rata refund will be offered or a carryover of the balance of the fees to the following term.

c) Upon receipt of a Doctor’s Note for extended absence resulting from serious illness or injury, a refund will be considered at the discretion of the Principal.

d) In the event that TP is forced to cancel a class due to circumstances within their control, students will be issued with a class credit to be applied to their fees the following term.

e) In the event that TP is forced to cancel a class due to circumstances beyond their control, (not limited to but including holidays based on lunar sightings) students will be eligible to attend a make-up class at an alternative venue of their choice.

3. Students are expected to attend all classes and be punctual.

4. Payment may be made by:

a) paying the dance teacher at the class, with either cash or cheque made payable to Turning Pointe and you must ensure you receive a receipt slip from the teacher.

Please ensure you mention your child’s name and class in the reference area so we can trace your payment.

Once payment has been made, please forward the scanned receipt so we can confirm your child’s place. Any bank charges must be borne by the remitter.

c) in person, at our office in Russia Cluster, Building V23, International City, Dubai, Sunday to Thursday 9am – 4pm for credit card, cheque or cash transactions.

5.Classes will only run if the minimum number of 6 students are enrolled. Should this requirement not be met, the management will either give a full refund to the parent/guardian or run the class at their discretion.

6.A register for each class is maintained by the teacher which records student attendance.

7. Uniform Policy:-

a) Ballet

TP is affiliated with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London and as such all ballet students are required to wear an RAD approved uniform.
b) Modern & Tap

TP follow the syllabus and uniform recommendations of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) in all these classes.

c) Hip Hop, Contemporary, Street Jazz and Musical Theatre

A TP Hoodie with appropriate footwear and leggings is required in all these classes.

8. TP has a zero-tolerance policy towards negative, abusive or disorderly behaviour therefore teachers representing TP reserve the right to ask students to leave the premises if their behaviour is deemed unsuitable or unproductive for the class.

9. Physical contact may be necessary by members of the teaching staff. If you have any concerns regarding this matter please contact the office.

10. Whilst all due care will be taken, you agree to release TP and all employees of TP from liability for any injuries to your child while attending classes at TP.

11. Photos and videos may be taken during class and used for publicity purposes. At the end of each term, photos and videos may be taken by other parents at the “Parents Watching Class”.If you have any concerns regarding this matter please contact the office.

Privacy Policy

Any person who signs up for classes at Turning Pointe will have to provide personal information.

Any personal information collected and held by Turning Pointe will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Personal information will not be passed on to any third parties without individuals’ consent unless required to do so in accordance with Data Protection Act 1998 or other laws.

Turning Pointe will only use this information as it is intended to provide you with the best possible service, this will include receiving information via email and WhatsApp, regular newsletters of pertinent information and notification of sales and class schedules. If you do not wish to receive any notifications via email or WhatsApp please notify our office on info@turningpointe.ae

To reduce the risk of loss, disclosure and misuse of personal information we use firewalls and data encryption. However, it is not possible to eliminate all risk and therefore Turning Pointe cannot accept liability for the loss, disclosure and misuse of personal information.
