Unlike Ballet, the Modern Dance Syllabus uses natural to no turnout, with greater use of the shoulders, abdominals and hips. The students learn body isolations, limbering and amalgamations, in both the lyrical and jazz styles, set to specially composed music.
The syllabus we follow is that of the ISTD, allowing students the option of taking the Graded Examinations. It is ideal for the ballet dancer wishing to compliment her classical training or for those who no longer enjoy the discipline of ballet but want to keep dancing.
